Sardinia was one of Chick’s final projects he was working on. Right after the conclusion of this concert with the The Chamber Orchestra of Sardinia in November, 2018, he told those close to him that this performance was one he wanted the world to hear, and got to work on it right away.

Chick's version of "Rhapsody in Blue" will leave many with a newfound appreciation for the time-honored composition. Chick, citing George Gershwin's own notes in the written score for "Rhapsody", tells the audience that George intended for the piece to be played more like a jazz piece, and proceeds to follow through with that vision in ways that will surprise and thrill you.
